Resolutions For Fundraisers

Published

Fundraising techniques are always evolving and the most successful fundraisers are the ones that continually evolve with it.  In 2017, Blackbaud CRM fundraisers will have a new tool to assist in their success, Fundraiser on the Go.

Fundraiser on the Go, a mobile first, responsive app for Blackbaud CRM was built to be the tool of choice when away from the office.

Let’s look at some best practices in fundraising and how Fundraiser on the Go sets the fundraiser up for success!

Know your portfolio
On average, a fundraiser has between 80-120 prospects in their portfolio with a mix of prospects in an early to mid-level cultivation stage and those they are actively soliciting.  One activity that is important for fundraisers to manage is to review and refresh their portfolio in order to stay abreast of upcoming meetings or those that may have lapsed.

When traveling, there may be idle time available while waiting for a flight or on a train and Fundraiser on the Go gives a fundraiser easy access to that portfolio making it easy to review important information such as next steps or the last step which may have been overlooked.  The portfolio view includes any prospect a fundraiser has a relationship with and can easily be filtered to only view prospects where the fundraiser is the primary manager.

With Fundraiser on the Go, fundraisers will have quick access to review last minute information prior to the meeting including interactions, past steps and giving.

Build stronger relationships with your prospects
Credibility is so important when meeting with prospects.  Collecting information from previous meetings, such as personal information, like a daughter is graduating soon, a pet passed away or what strategic opportunities were shared helps to cultivate and build long lasting relationships for future meetings.

Fundraiser on the Go assists in providing last interactions and steps to refresh the fundraiser prior to the meeting with the prospect.

Capture conversations
Another good practice is to capture meeting notes as soon as possible can so that details are not forgotten.  With Fundraiser on the Go, a fundraiser can file a contact report, an interaction or next step and even use voice dictation to document the notes.  Then when back at the office, a fundraiser can take the time to make edits and work on planning and executing next steps.

Fundraiser on the Go lets you quickly view rich information about a prospect.

Embrace technology
Some fundraisers may be stuck in their “old ways”.  Printing out pages and pages of information to help prepare for their upcoming meetings, having assistants translate handwritten notes from meetings into contact reports and not updating steps in a timely manner.

Fundraiser on the Go simplifies all of those tasks and puts the power in the hand of the fundraiser by providing important information about a prospect, including spouse information, interactions and giving information within the app.

So fundraisers, get ready - we are equipping you to achieve your goals by making life easier!

Hi Greg,
Fundraiser on the Go will be an out of the box application but we will also be releasing BBUI Angular which is a framework for you to build additional apps using SKY UX.

Thanks!
Trit
I'm very excited about this.. Can't wait to see and share the Out of the Box functionality with my BBP Customers. :-)
Will we be able to customize the functionality of "Fundraiser on the Go" through the SDK or by other means?
