As we look to the close of 2022 along with the new prospects and challenges of the year ahead, a period of reflection is natural along with anticipation for what’s to come in 2023. We’re in an ever-changing market impacted not only by global geo-politics and socioeconomics, but also evolving engagement and giving trends which influences how we need to evolve to sustain our supporters to stay relevant.

Here are my 2023 New Year’s Resolutions (best practice recommendations if you will!) that you can adopt with Blackbaud CRM that will help you manage & maximise your database, sustain & grow your supporter base, and very importantly, maintain a secure environment to allow you to focus on your goals and outcomes whilst tackling the challenges faced by in the social good space.
  • Adopt database growth management processes as standard. A bloated database not only creates inefficiencies but also doesn’t translate to increased revenue or engagement! Follow our Data Management Guide for guidance in database growth management best practices.
  • Improve performance and clean up unused data with "Business process status delete" global change function released in Service Pack 30.
  • Connect Blackbaud CRM to JustGiving to not only grow your revenue, but also for that all important new supporter acquisition. Take the opportunity to maximise the impact of peer-to-peer fundraisers on your organisations behalf by building out robust prospect journeys to ensure you thank and engage donors (consistently!) to those campaigns whom previously you may not have had access to. Use best practices to ensure the data you acquire used effectively by planning out workflows for engagement.
  • Adopt Blackbaud ID for enhanced security and improved user experience! (Blackbaud Hosted customers) The release of Blackbaud ID for Blackbaud CRM offers several new capabilities for your organization. These features include a single sign-on for your Blackbaud Products and easy navigation between environments.
