June $100 Gift Card Winners

Joann Neumann, Development Director at CASA of New Hampshire

“We just updated our database with The Giving Score and are very excited to see the categorization of our constituents. We have segmented our appeals in the past but they’ve been based solely on giving history. Now we can reduce our printing/postage costs and not waste money sending to all those low/low acquaintances twice a year! We will be able to look at our data more critically and create stronger targeted messaging.”

Emily Weis, Database Administrator at Miami Valley Women’s Center

“Our organization ran The Giving Score this month for the first time in over a year! Through various employee changes, this aspect of The Raiser’s Edge had gotten passed over for more urgent tasks. Now that things have settled down, I came across this resource and am very excited about utilizing it to improve our database records, appeals and mailing lists. We’ll be implementing The Giving Score results right away to purge our mailing list of inactive Acquaintances and then hopefully move on to drawing our Long-Shots into a closer relationship

Cory Shaw, Office Manager at Weinstein Hospice

Weinstein Hospice“Two weeks ago, Weinstein Hospice upgraded to The Raiser’s Edge 7.92. What a version enhancement!  By far the most valuable part for us is The Giving Score function. Recently, I was asked by our Board to develop a query that would show all our ‘Friends of Hospice’ Campaign donors, and what they gave each year from 2002-2012. While this is a VERY important step in qualifying our donors over time (especially to see who might have ‘dropped off our donor map’ in recent years), it doesn’t give us an accurate picture of who on our list COULD give more. And if we had a constituent in our database who has never given to this campaign, they were NOT EVEN ON OUR RADAR! They may be ‘Long Shots’, but at least we ‘have a shot’ now, which is more than we had before. The Giving Score adds a new ‘3-D’ element to our donor analysis.”

Randall McLeod, Associate Director, Database Services at Pulmonary Hypertension Association

“We recently updated our database with The Giving Score to target our solicitations, both email and physical mail, to ensure we include the right people and exclude those that do not give to us.  Based on the scores we recently including suggested gift strings in our Spring Direct Mail appeal, with those who tend to give lower amounts getting the standard levels, and those who tend to give higher amounts receiving a higher level.  In just a couple weeks the appeal has raised more than $12,000, more than twice what it had raised in that same period last year!  We will continue to screen our database with The Giving Score at least twice a year, as it is a product that works!
