New and Noteworthy features:

Duplicate Constituent Management Tool

  • In RE version 7.92 we introduced the new hard-coded algorithm for locating duplicates in your database. Now we have a tool that allows you to take it a step further and manage your duplicates by indicating whether records truly are or are not a duplicate.

Copy Phone and Email Information

  • When you add a new address for a constituent record, you will automatically getting a prompt asking you if you want to copy the existing phones/emails/links to the new address. You don’t ever have to manually copy and paste or search through old addresses again!

Fuzzy Birth Date

  • Now you can feel warm and fuzzy about entering in birthdays! The fuzzy date feature on Birth Date fields is new and improved. What is a fuzzy date? A Fuzzy date is a less than complete date. You can now enter in the month/year, only the year, or the day/month if you are unsure of the year.

Batch Categories

  • If you love to organize your data and parameters you’ll love this batch improvement. Batch now has the option to create categories to organize your batches. On the batch screen you can select Organize Categories, and then create and name new batch categories. This may be helpful to have by user or by batch type.

Export Headers

  • Have you ever exported out of the Export module and thought to yourself, “I wish I could understand what these headers are referring to!Well look no further! You can now rename the export headers in the output of an export before you export to excel. No more manual cleanup of the headers after the fact! To rename the headers, simply right-click the column heading in the Output grid and select Column Heading, then type in the header you would like to see when exported.

Query List columns

  • Query list now includes primary addressee and constituent ID as two additional output column options.

Security

  • Constituent ID’s are a super important and useful unique identifier on constituent records. They are able to be edited, so we’ve now made a security option allowing you to prevent this if you want to keep them on lock down. Within Security Options for a Security Group, in Constituent Record types privileges (under Miscellaneous Constituents Options) you can remove the ability to edit that constituent ID number.

New Compatibility

  • This one is for you IT Folks out there! If you’ve asked about using Microsoft SQL Server 2012, Microsoft Windows 8, Microsoft Windows 2012 or MapPoint 2013 your answer is now YES!
