Send Donors a List of Their Gifts Given Last Year

It’s that time of year again. Do you catch yourself wishing for the snow to melt and the Polar Vortex to never return all while day dreaming of blooming flowers and birds chirping? No, not THAT time of the year! It is tax season and it is upon us in full swing!

This time of year, many organizations reach out to us requesting how to send their donors a list of all the gifts given in the past year.  Did you know that The Raiser’s Edge has an extremely helpful canned report that can do just that, the Annual Statement Report!

The Annual Statement Report provides constituent giving histories for a specific time period you select, the receipt information, and even receipts with no receipt amount. This is a perfect and useful end-of-year report for constituents to review their donations for tax purposes. When running the report, each constituent’s name will appear on a separate page. The donor’s name, address, gift date, gift type, gift amount, receipt number, receipt amount, and total receipt amount will be included.

The report columns break down as follows:

Constituent Name: This column will display the names in the format selected on the Format Tab. (Refer to How to select the name format on reports for help.)

Date: This column displays the gift date.

Gift Type: This column displays the type of gift created.

Amount: This column displays the amount of the gift.

Receipt Amount: This column displays the tax-deductible amount recorded in the Receipt Amount field on the gift record.

Receipt Number: This column displays the receipt number or the information entered in the Receipt amt/no field on the Gift tab of the gift record
