bbcon 2014 Guest Blog: The RE:Geek Module 3.0 Upgrade Session

Published
Sometimes, two different organizations storing similar information store it within different sections of The Raiser's Edge, and yet they are both ideal locations within the context of the organization. This is the heart of the Raiser's Edge Geek talks.

Now embarking upon our third year, five "geeks" from the industry with vastly different perspectives - from different countries, different backgrounds, and different everyday uses of The Raiser's Edge - come together to debate best practices, and why we choose using certain parts of the application at certain times. None of it is rehearsed.

While the topics will be chosen in advance, the debate on stage is lively, gritty, and altogether a lot of fun. You do not have to be an RE Geek yourself to enjoy this talk.

This is a great opportunity to learn about the functionality of RE, and to see that best practices are not always fixed in stone, even among a group with over 60 years of combined experience in The Raiser's Edge. Make sure you come early, though; finding a seat can sometimes be difficult.

The geeks are Bill Connors, Melissa S. Graves, Ed Hohlbein, David Zeidman, and moderated by Kirk Schmidt.

See you at bbcon!
