November Release Sneak Peek for The Raiser’s Edge® and Luminate Online™ Integration

The latest update to The Raiser’s Edge® and Luminate Online™ Integration features improvements based on suggestions from you! This update includes several bug fixes as well as a few new features, including an Auto-Updater, a feature that will automatically update your plug in to the latest version.

New Features available in the November 21st  Release (version 1.4.5423): 

Auto-Updater  - The plug in will now automatically update to the latest version as updates become available.  This means that when you log in to the plug in on days that a new release is available, you will see it downloading and installing the update automatically. You will no longer need to download the version from the website and install it on each workstation individually.

-If you have The Raiser’s Edge installed locally, you will still need to run the download file from the Blackbaud Downloads page on the workstation that has web services installed. Web services will not automatically update. For information on how to update web services, see this solution on how to install or update. Web Services should still only be installed on one workstation with 24/7 internet access.

-If you are hosted with Blackbaud Hosting Services, there will be no change to your current business processes around updates. Our hosting administrators will apply all updates for you.

Changes to Home Screen – The buttons on the Home Screen have gotten a new look! These buttons will still have the same functionality, and the Options link is now available as a button.  You will also notice that the number of records that displays in green can now go higher than 999.

Pending Gifts available for processing – Instead of hiding gifts that require constituent processing in order to appear, the plug in will now show Pending Gifts. This means that the gift cannot be processed until the Constituent has been processed. However, you can now see the total number of gifts in the plug in. Any Pending Gifts will have an option to View and process the unprocessed constituent, which will then allow you to process the Gift.

Gift Filters – Filters are now available in the tool bar of the Gift plug in. You can now filter the gifts in the plug in by date, Payment Type, Appeal, or Fund so that you can process groups of gifts into one batch with bulk processing. The Filters button will then be bolded when a filter is applied. A Reset option is available so that you an see all gifts in the plug in again.

Pay Methods -  Pay Methods are now visible in the Gifts plug in, in the Gift Information column. You can see if the gift was given via Check, Cash, Credit Card, or Direct Debit. For Checks, you will see the check number. Credit Cards will display the card type and last four digits. Direct Debits will show the routing number and last four of the account number.

Resolutions:

This update resolves several reported issues, including:

Web Services stops: We’ve resolved issues with web services intermittently stopping, causing connection issues. (BB752562)   

Duplicate Gifts synching to The Raiser’s Edge: We’ve resolved the instance of TeamRaiser gifts flowing to The Raiser’s Edge more than one time. (BB749774)

Gifts appear with no name in plug in: We’ve changed the behavior of the plug in so that it prompts gifts without names to be rebuilt and sent to The Raiser’s Edge with the proper information. (BB748593)
