I've had that happen, also, Shannon. All of a sudden, without notice, the gift is checked as completed. I had to make a new recurring gift to apply further payments to this new gift.
I have set up all our monthly donors as recurring gifts and it is great, however, every once in awhile something happens and the gift no longer comes up as recurring...there is no end date, no changes etc. but when I am in batch and chose the constituent the recurring gift doesn't fill in. Any ideas? Am I missing something simple?
