Locked out of the Raiser’s Edge? Now what?

Sometimes, coming back to work after a long weekend and attempting to log into the Raiser's Edge can take a few tries. After enough failed attempts, you may get officially locked out.

You'll know for sure when you see the error message below.

 

So now what? How do you get access to the Raiser's Edge?

 

There are a few steps we can take.

 

Option 1: I have another Supervisor account to login with (or my colleague does).

   We first need to log into the Raiser's Edge as Supervisor or as a user with supervisor rights. Once logged in, navigate to Admin and then Security. Next, we will want to open up the affected username and unmark the Account is locked checkbox. We can also edit the new password here if needed. When ready, we can save and close. File, exit & sign out. The account is unlocked and ready to be logged in with!


 

Option 2: I do not have another Supervisor account to login with and no one else does.

   We can help you log in as the Supervisor with an authorized form if you are hosted. If you are not hosted with Blackbaud, then a site administrator or primary contact can download the Supervisor Reset Utility.

 

Option 3: Wait the amount of time for the lock out and then try again. This time limit is set in Config > Business Rules > System Access Options.

   It is always a good plan to keep track of the Supervisor users or users with supervisor rights at your office for situations like this. They can certainly help in situations like this!
