Mail Series Part 6: Incorrect Addressee/Salutation in mailing

   Now that we have all of the letters we need for each donor, we can certainly spot check for some of our details in the letters. Make sure the gift details are correct, the funds are accurate and our logo is formatted appropriately. You may notice that the addresses are correct; however, the salutation and addressee are just showing the first and last name. How come we do not see it as Mr. Hernandez or Mrs. Wendy Hernandez?



   This can be easily remedied in the setup of the mailing! If you close out of the word document with all of the letters and go back in the Raiser’s Edge, we will want to open the mailing parameters. On the fields to include tab, we will want to look in the Fields to Export window. By highlighting the Addressee/Salutation.Addressee or Salutation, the Options button will become illuminated. This Options window allows us to select which Addressee/Salutation To Use, whether it be from Configuration or from individual.
