Calling All Developers: The School API Is Now Available

The Beta phase is complete; the API is now Generally Available (GA). 

This API provides access to school information such as users, academics, admissions, athletics, content, general school info, and lists. This release contains endpoints previously available in the Legacy 'ON' API and new endpoints to extend the functionality of Blackbaud Education Management. For more information, check out the School API resources.

Additionally, we've significantly updated the School API resources.

Some of the most notable improvements include updates to the:

• Migration reference for schools who are switching from the Legacy 'ON' API to the new (School) SKY API.

• The main School API page which now includes sections that are specifically tailored for:

  • School admins – who enable connected apps

  • Developers or partners – who create apps which schools use

  • End users – who might access apps via Single Sign On (SSO)

  • Everyone – who seeks additional support
