What’s Happening: Summer Months and Blogs 2022

Published

Summer vacation, one of the best phrases an educator can hear. With the temps rising and the children out of school, we’re giving you an update on the upcoming blog schedule for the next few months.

Well, here we are. Summer on the horizon and that means schools are getting out for the summer, if they’re not already. As such, it’s time for a conversation on the state of the blog and what to expect over the next few months.

Before we get going, did you notice the “What’s New” letter yesterday? That was no accident as we’ll be posting it here every Monday instead of what we were doing before. So if you want to stay up to day, make sure to be subscribed to the blog to get notified. If you already are, then you’re good to go and don’t need to do anything else, just enjoy.

So as many of you longtime blog readers may be aware, the summer months mean the blog is going to be slowing way down. Yes, we’re also about to be going on a similar summer vacation. Just as we’ve done in years past, these weekly blog posts are going on their own short-term hiatus. Following this post and through July, we’re going to be stepping away from our traditional weekly format.

Wait, hold on! Just because we’re not delivering a weekly blog doesn’t mean we’re not really here. In fact, as you saw yesterday, we’ll be posting the What’s New letter here every Monday and of course, the monthly recap posts are still coming throughout the summer as well. Honestly, if last year was anything to go by, we’ll probably be posting things a lot more than I’m making it seem. We certainly had a few more blog posts during last summer than originally anticipated, so you really never know.

What I can say for sure is that you should be sure to subscribe to the blog so you’ll be notified when our latest posts go live over the summer months and beyond.

Before I take off, I just wanted to send out a quick thank you to each and every one of you for stopping by and supporting the work we do here in the community. Whether this is your first time at the blog or you’re someone who's here each and every week, we absolutely appreciate you and the feedback you provide.

Have a wonderful summer and we’ll talk again real soon!
