What's New In Raiser's Edge NXT The Week Of January 30

Published

This week, Raiser's Edge NXT updates with a couple nifty enhancements to lists.

dc5e58dda8ff02b9d030321876e2002e-huge-adAdd or exclude specific constituents in lists. To fine-tune a list, you can now add or exclude specific constituents or lists of constituents, such as based on your relationship with them or the intent of your list. For example, you may add a seed list to a mailing as a quality check, or exclude recent appeal recipients from another communication to help prevent donor fatigue. To add or exclude records in a constituent list, select Add/Exclude and Add to list or Exclude from list, and then choose the records or lists to add or exclude.

Avoid overwriting someone else's changes to a saved list. Multiple people can work in the same list at the same time. If your changes conflict with someone else's, you can now choose whether to save a new list, overwrite the other person's changes, or discard yours. You can also cancel the save to temporarily keep your changes without truly affecting the list.

For more information about these features, see the What's New Help and Lists Help. To catch up on previous releases, check out the What's Recent Help. Enjoy!

Hey Julie- Just to confirm, it sounds like you're trying to add an Alumni Board query from the database view to a list in the web view? When you add or exclude lists to a constituent list, you can only choose from other web view constituent lists. However, when you create a list in the web view, you can select 'Start with a static query' to save a list based on a query, which you could then add to a list with 'Add/Exclude'. I hope that helps. Thanks!
I must not be doing something right because  when I opened a list of our Alums in AZ and then wanted to add to the list our board members it would not let me  pull up our Alumni Board query in search.  Am I doing something wrong or is this not an option.
Bless you!  This is amazing!  I'm so happy to be able to exlude certain constiuents or groups from a list this way!

The Add/Exclude feature is awesome! Any plan to have this available for Opportunities? I have been struggling with the limited filter options on the Opportunities List - hoping to be able to build specific lists based on Campaigns, Prospect Status, etc!!
Exciting!!
