Five Favorite Features of Raiser's Edge NXT Donation Forms

This month marks my eleventh anniversary of building, teaching, and writing courses focused on online marketing and fundraising. I've worked with and donated through many online donation forms. And I'm really excited by the new Online Donation Forms tool in Raiser's Edge NXT, available now to all US customers. Here are my five favorite features of the new donation forms.

1. Native mobile-friendliness: This is absolutely my favorite feature. No more separate coding or worrying if the online form will be easy to use on mobile phones and tablets. And with over a quarter of all online donations coming from mobile devices, this is a huge win in my book.

2. Color customization: Using the donation form designer, you can easily update the donation form to match the fonts and colors on your organization's website. The ability to preview the form in the designer as you go makes it easy to see what you've changed.

3. Recurring gift start options: For recurring gifts, you can select to process the first gift immediately or let the donor pick the date of the first gift. I love the way this feature gives organizations the flexibility to design the form to their needs.

4. No extra data entry: I know this may seem like a no-brainer, but when a new donor makes a donation through a Raiser's Edge NXT online donation form, all of their information is captured, and a new constituent record is created for them. No manual processes and no cross-checking! Since most people are pretty accurate when filling out forms online, this means the information in your database is accurate and up-to-date, too.

5. Real-time statistics: Once a form is published and donations start coming in it, you can see how well the form is performing, who the most recent donors to the form were, and what webpages drove donors to the form. This last statistic could be really helpful in prioritizing future online marketing efforts.
