What's New In Raiser's Edge NXT The Week of August 18
This week, Raiser's Edge NXT introduces a new setting for forms.
Choose primary address setting for forms. To help maintain standards in your database, admins can now choose whether to mark new addresses as primary when existing constituents enter them through donation or online registration forms.
For example, if your organization spells out words such as Street or Lane and a constituent enters an abbreviation, duplicate detection identifies the difference as a new address. Previously, forms marked all new addresses as primary. With this new option, you can choose to leave existing addresses that are properly formatted marked primary and save new addresses as additional information on constituent records.
To change the default setting, from Tools, Settings, under Address mapping, clear Mark new addresses for existing constituents as primary. For more information, see Form Settings.
Note: Regardless of the option you choose, the first address for a constituent is always automatically marked primary.
