We Are Thankful For ...

With bi-monthly releases, we are constantly adding new features to Altru. We all remember a time when we didn't have "_______." So, here are a few features that the support team are thankful for. You may not remember a time without them, but they can save time in your day to day operations!

Drew Hastilow (Customer Support Analyst) – Ability to cancel group sales in different scenarios!

When groups do not come to visit as scheduled or they need to cancel their reservation, it is important to cancel them correctly according to the scenario they fit into. Sometimes money needs to be kept or refunded and it is important to know how to do it correctly. There is a great solution that outlines this for our clients so they can be sure they are doing it correctly.

Alisa Singletearry – (Sr. Customer Support Analyst) - Partial refunds!

When I started, Altru did not have the ability to do partial refunds and it was a big demand among clients. With 3.14, the ability to do partial refunds was released and this made financial reconciliation and the Guest Services Manager role a lot easier!

Lauren Spires-Smith (Sr. Customer Support Analyst) - Preregistered program roster!
This roster gives you an accurate number of who attended your pre registered event without having to drill into a query. If you need a check-in list for the date of the event, using the preregistered program roster saves you so much time! It’s like a hidden secret.

I’m thankful for 100 ideas implemented in the Community!  I love working on a product that is constantly evolving and changing to meet our customer’s needs, as we hear them.

Rick Restivo (Customer Support Analyst) – Batch printing tickets!


I’m thankful for batch print tickets; which allows customers to print all there will call tickets in one process. It is a lot more convenient for clients. Rather than having to individually print each ticket, they are able to do it at one time.

I think everyone knows that I’m thankful for Name Format Options! I love that Altru allows you to choose which name format to use in a specific mailing. If you want all of your name formats to look the same or maybe have some cleanup to do, you can also choose to build a name format from scratch!

Kevin Brunson (Sr Product Support Lead) – Ask Ladders!

I am thankful for ask ladders.  Ask ladders enable our customers to ask for the appropriate amount when soliciting patrons for donations. Based on information in Altru (average donation amount or other values), the ask ladder enables you to prompt patrons on suggested giving levels ultimately with a goal of increasing giving levels.

I’m thankful for the Odata feature. This will allow clients to build reports outside of the system and have the data automatically refreshed. It opens the door to more options and better ways to slice and dice data.

I’m thankful for the ability to edit individual acknowledgement letters sent per web forms. Having the ability to customize responses has improved our product’s offering enormously, in my opinion.
