4.1 New Feature: Address Finder

The latest release of Altru now includes Address Finder!  Address Finder is a Data Tune-up paid subscription service that provides the most current address information available for your constituents.  You can create and submit your data to Blackbaud and when the data is updated you can import and update your records all in three easy steps.  The service is based on the United States Postal Service National Change of Address (NCOALink) database.  With this service your database can be matched against the NCOALink to identify individuals, families, and businesses that:

• Have moved and completed the USPS COA (Change of Address) form
  
• Have moved without providing a COA form
  
• Do not match 100% (yet are close) to the NCOALink database.
  

There are several benefits to running your data through the NCOALink database including saving money on postage and printing since you can send letters to addresses you know are valid.  Additional benefits include address standardization and ZIP+4 appending, carrier route coding and a CASS Report and DPV.
