Altru Training is Evolving

Is your organization new to Altru? Are you a new Altru user? Maybe you’ve been exploring Altru, trying to understand the bigger picture. If so, you’ll be interested to know we’re releasing two new Altru classes in April! These new classes introduce the fundamentals of Altru and are a great starting place for anyone new to the product. Join your peers and learn the basics while getting a preview of our new training format.

Alert: These new classes are just the beginning of an exciting revamp of Altru training in 2016. Throughout the year, all of the online instructor-led Altru classes will be undergoing changes to make them more interactive and hands-on. I’m looking forward to having you join us as we make these exciting changes! Meantime, check out our two newly revamped offerings, below.

Altru: Fundamentals—Overview and Ticket Sales
Altru is a revolutionary platform for arts and cultural organizations, which encompasses constituent relationship management, fundraising, membership, ticketing, volunteers, and merchandise functionality in one centralized system. This three-hour instructor-led course gives you an overview of the basics of navigation, constituent records, cash drawer management, and ticket and merchandise sales. Learn how to log in, navigate, and customize your user settings and shortcuts in Altru. Learn about various types of constituents, how the constituent record is organized, how to add a new constituent record, and how to effectively edit basic constituent information. Additionally, you’ll review processing admissions, program event tickets/ registrations, and merchandise sales through both the Daily Sales and the Advance Sales screens.

Altru: Fundamentals—Fundraising and Membership
This three-hour instructor-led course gives you an overview of how donations, membership payments, and pledges are processed and stored in Altru. Learn how fundraising hierarchies are organized for managing donation revenue. Learn what types of membership programs are configurable in Altru, the difference between revenue and recognition in Altru, and review payment applications in revenue records. Additionally, we’ll discuss how to process donations, pledge gift payments, and membership dues payments through both the Altru sales screens and the back-office revenue data entry tools.
