Let's Get Mobile, Part 3: Your future Visitors, Donors and Members are NOT in your lobby right now.

You may be thinking, "Why go mobile?" You want people to come to your organization, but to make that happen, you may have to go to them first. If you have Altru Museum Management Software, a Windows tablet, and are reading this, you already have the tools to take your museum to the people.

Those potential patrons are participating in activities similar to those that you offer. They love movies in the park, so you can guess that they'd enjoy movie nights at your organization. Since Altru is mobile solution, you could set up a mobile ticket booth at the park. What better way to find families than going outside to where families hang out? Plus, you get to work outdoors!

Need some new members or want to sell tickets to one of your fundraising events? Book a table at your local Food and Wine festival; this will not only get you exposure, but you can sell tickets, memberships, and take donations on the spot.

If you really want to take this to the next level, check your city regulations, you might be able to park downtown and catch the cruise ship as it hits the port. Put that company van to good use and set up a mobile ticketing booth. With a $25 vehicle power inverter, you could even print tickets and receipts right from your company vehicle.

Promote your mobile station with social media channels. Put up a Facebook post or Tweet where you’ll be this afternoon and offer specials to your followers: “Join us at the city park on 3rd, from 2-5PM. Half off admission tickets and 25% off family memberships!”
