It's Time To Go Back To School
Published
It's back to school season! We are all getting a head start on updating our new application forms in NetCommunity (BBNC) and we want to make sure you succeed. Below are some best practices and helpful resources.
Best Practices:
Best Practices:
- Create new student or applicant attributes for each new year that will need to show updated dates. We do this because the date will not update on existing attributes when the form is processed.
- Copy or create new forms for each school year. We do recommend to copy forms from year to year even if there are no changes to keep a historical record of last year's data.
- Ensure you have processed all forms in the NetCommunity plugin in Education Edge before making changes to the form in BBNC. This prevents any errors as removing fields on the form and updating Education Edge will effect the forms in the plugin.

I am looking for information on the Best Practices for creating and using Admission and Reenrollment forms (and even the best use for Common forms). I am also looking for guidelines and examples from schools on how these forms should be designed and what data to gather in each type of form.
The form I created is a reenrollment type form that I wanted to use year round as a Student Update form when any information (address, phone, etc) changes for the student and/or parents. Is this feasible? We would also like to create a Parent/Student Agreement form that would be used to “agree” to various statements (Have read the Student/Parent handbook – Agree with the Computer Usage policy – Media Authorization Release, etc) that we gather this data in Attributes.
Again, I would appreciate any information that anyone could give me.
