Will Your Online Payments be Impacted by Strong Customer Authentication (SCA)?
Nonprofits that accept payments via credit or debit cards issued in the European Union or UK will be subject to Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) laws that go into effect in the EU September 14, 2019. Starting on this date, additional levels of donor authentication will be required at the time of the transaction. If your online pages do not support SCA, payments may not process.
Don’t worry! Blackbaud is committed to ensuring that our solutions are not only compliant with forthcoming regulations, but also deliver great payment experiences for your supporters. We’ve developed a number of tools to help you understand this new legislation and how you can achieve compliance with Blackbaud NetCommunity.
