Mark for Reenrollment, What Does it Do?

Published
When the school year is coming to a close and the next one is on the horizon, one of the important steps is to progress your students from their current grade to the next grade level. Marking students for Reenrollment creates a Student Progression Entry for the next academic year. Students are unable to be scheduled for their classes without a Student Progression Entry.  Mark for Reenrollment is a status wizard that allows for you to progress your current student body easily.  You can access this status wizard from Administration by selecting status wizards and then Mark for Reenrollment.

When creating the Mark for Reenrollment parameter, the General tab dictates how the students will be promoted in the next year.

Here are few helpful tips to navigate the Mark for Reenrollment wizard:

  • The “From school “and “From year” are the school and academic year that the students are currently enrolled in.
  • The promotion schedule is the brain that tells the system which grade level the students should progress next to. For example your First grades should go to Second grade.
  • The “To year” will always be the next academic year, if you don’t see the next academic year in the drop down menu, it may not be created yet.
