What’s New: K12 Product Updates For January 10

Published

Happy New Year everyone and welcome to the first product update for 2018!

Release 13.01 kicks off the new year in style for the K12 “ON” Products with several important updates and changes for lists, onCampus Assignment Annotations, and more. Plus, we’re taking a closer look at Blackbaud ID, an exciting EAP coming soon that aims to make the Blackbaud login process quick and easy.

Here’s a quick look at a few of the new features in this release:

Coming soon to Core: Blackbaud ID EAP. We announced this EAP back in December, but now as we approach its start date, we’re finally ready to share a bit more about what schools can expect.

In a nutshell, Blackbaud ID enables each user to access multiple Blackbaud products and services with a single email address and password. What’s great about this is that once signed in, participants can start with one of the many Blackbaud products such as Raiser’s Edge NXT, then quickly and easily move to a completely different location such as the K-12 “ON” Products without having to sign in to a different account.

While the first phase of this EAP is solely focused on faculty and staff, we’re looking to eventually expand this functionality to families and other users. If you’re interested in participating in this EAP, sign up here for a chance to be included. Check out our release letter for more information on this exciting new EAP.

onCampus: Do More with Assignment Annotations. Even though Assignment Annotations isn’t a new feature, the onCampus team has made a change to the background API resulting in some new features and a few revisions to existing functionality. We covered all the details and things to know in last week’s blog, so head over there to learn more.

onBoard: New Filter Options for Contract Lists. Team onBoard has also made a few changes to Contract Lists, which hopefully makes life a bit easier for admissions staffers. Schools can now add a new filter called Not Returning, which displays whether students intend to return to the school or not.

The selectable column called Fees has also been updated and is now known as Fees Total. This newly rebranded option shows the total amount of any fees expected to be paid by a family. In addition, Fees Detail is a new option for Contract Lists, intended to display the details of any fees expected to be paid. Lastly, the fee name and fee amount are visible on new lines for better readability.

For the full breakdown of all the new features and changes in the January 10 release, make sure to read over the release letter. The 13.01 release video is also available for those who want a visual overview of these changes instead.

The EAP signup link seems to not be working.
