For The Education Edge and Blackbaud Student Information System version 7.84.52 - patch 3, in Faculty Access for the Web, faculty can now upload Apple iWork Pages, Numbers, and Keynote files for students to download in NetClassroom. Faculty first need to update an application setting before saving files for upload to Faculty Access for the Web.

  1. Open Apple iWork Pages, Numbers, or Keynote program.
  2. Under the application menu, select Preferences. The Preferences panel appears.
  3. Click the General icon.
  4. Under Saving, select the Save new documents as packages option.
  5. Repeat for the other two Apple iWork programs.

When faculty save files from Pages, Numbers, or Keynote, they will now save as a packaged file which they can upload and then in NetClassroom, students can open and download.

For both faculty and students, they must use the Safari Internet browser for upload and download of iWork files.

In addition, students can now upload iWork files to their NetClassroom assignment dropbox. Students also need to set the Apple iWork Save new documents as packages option.

Please note, iWork files uploaded by faculty to class or assignment documents in Faculty Access for the Web or by students to the assignment dropbox in NetClassroom cannot be downloaded and opened on a Windows-based PC.
