For our clients who are not aware of this service, if you have not done so already, sign up for our NOZA Gift Alerts.
This service includes a listing of significant gifts donated throughout the United States and acknowledges recent donations recorded through online press releases or announcements. In the report is the Donor Name(s), Donation Amount, Recipient Name, Month of the gift, State of the nonprofit receiving the gift, and a Source Link to view the source of this information. You can simply sign up by clicking here, and enter in your information and start receiving this very important news via your email.

Now you may be asking why this is important to your nonprofit. If you have prospects or donors that you have been managing as well as those you may not even have identified yet, it is a great way to see who these philanthropists are giving to and how much they are giving. Typically this list contains those who give gifts in excess of $1 million, so being knowledgeable about a principal-level gift given to another nonprofit in your vertical can be an indication of the types of nonprofits they support, as well as at what level they give and what area of the country they give to. It may also be an indication of timing and give you the opportunity to evaluate if now is the right time as to whether or not you wish to approach your prospect for a larger donation.
