Is your AddressAccelerator in The Raiser's Edge performing sluggishly?

We have received a few reports that AddressAccelerator has recently started performing slowly for some organizations.  Please read the story below for more details:



George has been adding new constituents to his organization’s Raiser’s Edge database for the past month and he loves the AddressAccelerator module. His big paws hit a few extra keys sometimes, and AddressAccelerator helps to correct these mistakes and ensures the address is mailable. 

George enters his first constituent of the day and AddressAccelerator starts its auto validation.  However it doesn’t validate quickly like normal.  George is patient, so he lifts his leg on the desk and ponders what might be taking so long.  They did update the files a few weeks back.  So that can’t be the issue and they haven’t updated The Raiser’s Edge recently.  “AddressAccelerator was working great yesterday, what has changed between then and now,” George says to himself.

After about 5 minutes the address validates.  He believes this issue is environmental like firewalls or anti-virus software settings being updated automatically, but feels like he is just chasing his tail looking for a solution.

Has your organization recently started experiencing sluggishness with AddressAccelerator?

Our Address Accelerator does not perform automatically at all ever ! There is a little "button" in the record that we need to click to check the address. Super disappointing!
Good to know I am not the only one! I have had our IT department look at my computer processing and they see no problems on our end. We are not hosted - maybe this is only happening for hosted folks?
Yes, it has been extremely sluggish. If you hit validate instead of F8 it is faster.
