What's on the Horizon for The Financial Edge

Published
Curious about what's next for The Financial Edge? Well that's what I'm here to share with you today.

Before I get started, I wanted to first thank all of you who participate in our Idea Bank and Discovery process.  These tools help us determine what we should focus on implementing and improving.  Never heard of these tools?  The Financial Edge Idea Bank is a place for you to tell us what you'd like to see in the software and also to vote on what is most important to you.  We regularly review the suggestions and will let you know which are under review, pending, and completed. The Discovery process is the way we take your suggestions one step further to learn from you.   Each area of improvement goes through several check- backs with customers to make sure we’re on the right track before it’s released.

And without further ado, here's what you can look forward to in upcoming Financial Edge releases:

  • In the upcoming release 7.86:

    • Accounts Receivable Aging Report enhancements to make it easier to research outstanding payments.
    • Business logic in Webportal that allows user’s to warn or prevent requisitioners that they are trying to submit a requisition without supporting documentation.
    • Compatibility with SQL Server 2012 and Windows 8.

  • Coming attractions

    • Accounts Payable:

      • Ability to notify vendors by email  who are being paid electronically.

    • Webportal

      • Ability for a requisitioner to add the invoice number to the request eliminating the need to manually add the number to the invoice.
      • Ability for user’s to rename the Requestor field.
      • Displaying a running total on a requisition.
      • Discovery on how we can better improve to better support your processes.
