Bi-Weekly Payroll Setup
Published
If you are a Bi-Weekly Payroll operation and your desire is to pay on a particular day of the week and that particular day of the week falls on the first day of the new fiscal year, you will need to set up a schedule for 27 pay periods. Below are the steps on how to set up a 2014 Bi-Weekly pay schedule with 27 periods.
You will need to log into The Financial Edge and go to Payroll. Once in Payroll you will need to click on Configuration and then Schedules.
From this page you will click on “New Schedule” and the box below will appear. First, you will need to set the Schedule ID and Pay Frequency to Bi-Weekly. Second, you will set the Starting Date to equal 01/01/2014 and change the number of periods to 27. Lastly, set the “every two weeks on” to Wednesday and click “Update Grid” on the gray bar. Once you have completed these steps you can scroll down the list of dates to see all 27 periods and save and Close the Schedule.
