2014 Toolbox A is Here! What Are the Next Steps...

Published
The Payroll Toolbox for 2014 is here!   The first step is to install Toolbox A.

Note: If you need your blackbaud.com login or don't know if you have one, click the Can't log in? button on the Log In page. You will be prompted to enter your email address and will then receive an email with your user name and a link to reset your password, if you have one.

For the installation to have any effect, we also have to update the Historical and Employee Data Items. First, back up the divisions and print a few verification reports.

Important Notes:

  • Do not complete this task until all Payrolls for the prior calendar year is complete. It will adjust rates.
  • If you are not completing this task immediately after installing the Toolbox update, make a backup of all divisions.
  • The Toolbox must be installed before completing these tasks

  1. Ensure all users are logged out of the Payroll/Personnel module.
  2. Log in to FundWare and select Payroll.
  3. From the Payroll menu, select Processing, Periodic Processing, Update Data Items from Toolbox.
  4. At Data Item, type in the data item to be updated and press Enter. You can use F1 to scroll the list of Historical Data Items. In this example we will update .FWT, or Federal Taxes.
  5. At Are your entries correct? type Y for Yes and press Enter.
  6. At Are you sure you want to do this? type Y for Yes and press Enter.
  7. At Are there more entries? Select Y to update more Historical Data Items, or N to close the screen. NOTE: Only one Historical Data Item can be updated at a time. They will each need to be updated.

You can verify this worked before calculating payroll just by scrolling the date tables.

If you want more details on this process, we created a Knowledgebase solution about How to install and update from the Payroll Toolbox with step by step screenshots.
