Create Your 1099 Forms

First things first, are 1099 Forms missing from your Mail section in Accounts Payable? Typically, this is due to security rights that are setup in you Financial Edge database. If this is occurring for you, we have some steps that can assist with getting 1099 Forms showing in Mail. If not, then you are set to go ahead and create 1099s now in Accounts Payable.

After or if we already have 1099s showing in Mail > Forms we can create them. When getting started on the task of generating 1099 forms we want to be sure that Aatrix has been registered successfully. From there, we start with verifying our list of vendors in Accounts Payable. We suggest creating a vendor query to show a list of vendors that were paid more than a certain amount.  Taking a look at your list can sometimes be helpful in finding missing 1099 vendors early on in the 1099 process or realizing that vendors do not in fact belong.  Once we have verified that our list of 1099 vendors looks good we should be ready to get started on the printing process!

Heading into Accounts Payable, our forms are generated under Mail, Forms. This is where the 1099 forms for all vendors can be generated at one time. To follow the exact step by step process, refer to How to print 1099 forms in Accounts Payable 7. There are certainly times where a vendor may have been missed, after the printing process has occurred. No worries! The Financial Edge offers a way to print a 1099 form for one vendor. You will also find that there may be a need to specify a particular bank when generating these forms. The process is a little trickier, but these steps show you how to generate a query that can then be used to print 1099 forms for one particular bank.

The above steps give an overall highlight to the common scenarios we tend to have other Financial Edge clients calling in about.
