Introducing....Me!

Published
If you’ve been watching the Community lately, you may have noticed a few events popping up on the Events Calendar. Were you wondering where they came from?

Let me introduce myself. My name is Mary Aquino-Cooper, and I am the Curriculum Lead for Financial Edge products. I am the eyes and ears of our courseware development for Financial Edge. I am constantly revising and improving our Financial Edge training portfolio.  I also brainstorm with my teammates and others to determine what courses we can build that will help you succeed in your missions.
Here’s a little background on me. I started with Blackbaud in 1997.Yes, almost 20 years!  I started in Customer Support – where you may call or chat to get answers to questions you have about Financial Edge. We didn’t have Chat back then, and it wasn’t called Financial Edge. Yes, I do remember working with DOS products!

Over the years, I transitioned from support to instructing – both new employees and then YOU! I taught Financial Edge and Raiser’s Edge before taking my knowledge to courseware development and instructional design.

I’m also a fundraising junkie – I helped found a chapter of Greyhound Pets of America in Charleston back in 2003, where I served as President and now Treasurer. Utilizing the skills I learned at Blackbaud, we turned our fundraising into an annual event and annual appeal. I have a passion for animals, especially retired-racing greyhounds, and would have a house-full of furbabies if I could.

I am also passionate about my alma mater (Go Salem State University Vikings!), music (mostly 80’s rock ‘n roll) and my family. I am also immensely passionate about learning. I strive to learn something new every day.

Now that you know me, hopefully, you’ll feel comfortable interacting with me in the Community.  So if you have any training questions, feel free to message me or connect with me on my member profile. Feel free to say hi! I will be checking and look forward to getting to know you!
