Patch 16 (End Of Year Update)

The year is quickly coming to a close and that means it's time for system updates! This year patch 16 will be our Financial Edge end of year patch. It contains tax table updates for 2017 as well as tax processing improvements.These tax improvements impact all tax forms (1099, W2, 1094/1095, 941, etc.) and it is critical you update to patch 16 prior to generating any tax forms in Financial Edge. If you do not update you could encounter tax processing errors that can only be resolved by updating. Avoid potential issues by updating as soon as possible.

Keep in mind before updating:
-Patch 16 updates tax table values so Financial Edge payroll clients will want to complete their last payroll of 2016 before updating.
-This patch improves the entire tax process for both payroll and accounts payable clients, therefore it is imperative anyone processing taxes in Financial Edge update.
-Self hosted clients can update now following the steps in this link.
-Blackbaud Hosted clients and FE NXT users will automatically be updated during the first week of January and no user action is required.
-There are numerous forms changes this year which have been outlined here.
