CrossFit and Advanced Query 6427

CrossFit and Advanced Query

Published
Almost a year ago, I decided I needed to challenge my 56-year-old body and step up my fitness game. That may seem not noteworthy except it might be important to know that I’m not athletic at all. I’ve worked out fairly unregularly over the past 15–20 years, but I can’t say that I am a habitually active person. I might say that if I didn’t have a stand-desk, I’d probably rarely stand up at all.

For those who haven’t hit middle age yet (I consider myself middle aged although I realize that is implying I’ll live to be over 100), some of us “middle aged” women feel we need to take control of our health by taking the bull by the horns, so to speak. For that reason, I decided CrossFit was the way to go. I’ll spare you the ugly details but honestly, I found it was quite cathartic and while it is probably the hardest exercise I have ever taken on, it is something I rather enjoy.

So, how does this relate at all to Advanced Query? Let me ask you…have you dipped your toe in the deep end of the data analysis pool? Have you gone beyond creating those simple queries such as 1099 Vendors or Active Accounts? If not, here’s your big chance to challenge yourself and step up your Query game! Blackbaud University’s newest three-hour instructor-led course is perfect for you. Financial Edge: Advanced Query will get you deeper into Query, discussing topics such as merging queries and using parentheses in Query criteria.

Using Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT? You can still create queries in database view and use them for slicing your data in reports!

This course is included in your Blackbaud Learn More™ and Learn Everything™ training subscriptions.

I’ll wrap up by admitting that since I’m over 36, I’m considered a CrossFit Masters Athlete. The “title” makes me smile. I’m neither a master nor an athlete. But CrossFit calls me that. You can call me Mary, but if you really want to, call me CrossFit Master Mary.
