A New eTapestry Release!

Hello everyone! Great news – eTapestry just released a brand new menu and some additional new features for you to help you use your database better!
So let’s dig in! We’ve created a brand new menu for you to use eTapestry. To start out this project, we took every single item on the menu and wrote it on a piece of paper. Then we laid out the little pieces of paper and had customers put them into categories to give us an idea of how to group things. What came out of that was a very clear picture of what items should be placed together and what items should not. And thus, we came up with this new menu:
We have also added a dynamic search option in the new menu. This new search will start showing you possible matching accounts after you enter three characters into the search box. So for instance, if you type “Ann” into the search box, your database will bring back possible accounts that could be matches based on the name and address stored in the account. It will look something like this:
This only works in the top search box in the new menu. If you decide you would rather the search box works like it did in the legacy menu, you can change the behavior in your preferences. Simply go to My User and Preferences and choose not to use the dynamic search functionality.
We are also very excited to provide 10 DIY forms at no cost to you. This will allow you to create and publish online forms to collect data and online gifts from your donors! To learn more about the new forms, please visit our eTapestry Release page.

You will notice that each menu category has certain options you can get to by clicking on the arrow next to the word. If you click on the icon or on the word instead, you will be brought to a landing page for that category. We hope you enjoy using the new menu, but if you prefer to use the legacy menu, you can still do that. Just click the “Switch to legacy menu” button at the top of your screen. You will be able to use the legacy menu until June 23, at which time we will remove the option and everyone will be using the new and improved menu.
