Last Chance To Make Required Luminate IP Address Updates!

Published

DEADLINE TOMORROW: Out of an abundance of caution and to ensure customers do not experience a disruption in service, we extended the deadline to make IP address updates for Luminate to Thursday, May 10, 2018. We cannot extend this date beyond May 10 due to work we must complete to finalize the IP address change.

Have you received detailed technical emails from Blackbaud talking about making Luminate IP addresses changes? Did you file them in the 'circular file'? Save it for later? It's also possible you did not receive these instructions (they may have gone to a Spam or Clutter folder).

PLEASE READ THIS MESSAGE ABOUT REQUIRED IP ADDRESS CHANGES for Luminate Online, Luminate CMS, Luminate CRM, and TeamRaiser related to whitelisting, DNS settings, and SPF record configurations.

Not all Luminate sites require action, but your organization must understand where your site stands and whether you need to make required configuration changes by May 10. If you don't, essential Luminate services - like donation forms and web sites - may cease working when the IP address change takes effect.

Don't let this happen. We want you and your supporters to use Luminate Online, Luminate CMS, Luminate CRM, and TeamRaiser without a break in service. Please, review the IP change documentation, share it with your technical teams, and make the changes this month.

How do I learn what I need to do?
It is important each customer review their configuration and determine if they need to make changes.  To make this transition as smooth as possible, we have these resources to assess the changes you need to make and take action: As always, reach out to Blackbaud Support with your questions! We're here to help you navigate this change.

Mark, since you are not yet live, are you working with Blackbaud or an implementation partner to set up Luminate? In either case, your project manager or implementation consultant should be able to advise you on whether or not you need to take action. If you do pre-launch testing after May 10, it will reveal areas where IP addresses need to be updated. DM me if you have more questions. Kathryn
Thank you for the extension.

I have forwarded this information to our IT vendor and they replied, "Thanks for the info! You shouldn't be affected by a change in their IP address, but we'll keep this email handy in the unlikely event that any manual whitelisting needs to happen."

Now perhaps this was their response because we are not actually live yet with LO, and our RELO has not processed through yet, and so there is no need to take any action. But what happens if we do go live with LO before or after May 10th. Would it still not matter or is this something I need to talk to my IT folks about again?

Thank you,

Mark
