Fundamentally Still The Same

A few months ago, my husband and I decided our perfectly functional dining furniture, dishes, and accoutrement were getting stale. So, we bought a new dining set that we both liked. And to make room for our new dishes (and more), we went through our kitchen cabinets, rearranged items, and packed away some things we were no longer using. When all was said and done, it felt great to have completed this refresh together.

Sometimes our Blackbaud University courses are like my old dining items. Still perfectly functional and full of useful content—but starting to show their age around the edges.

That's why, beginning April 2, 2018, we'll be launching a fully refreshed set of the Luminate Online Fundamentals course series! Here's what's new:

• Luminate Online: Fundamentals—Overview and Constituent Management

• Luminate Online: Fundamentals—Donations
  Learn how to improve your online fundraising with Luminate Online. Launch successful online fundraising campaigns. Build and customize mobile-friendly donation forms. Manage online and offline transactions. See campaigns through from start to finish.
   
• Luminate Online: Fundamentals—Data Analysis
  Learn how to use data already in Luminate Online to make informed decisions about the future. Build, run, and analyze reports. Use Query to identify specific segments of your constituents. See the big picture of your data with SKY Reporting in Luminate Beta.

What if I have already started the Fundamentals course series?
You do not have to start over! All previously fulfilled prerequisites are still valid. You'll be able to pick up a course in the new Fundamentals series right where you left off in the previous series. However, you may notice that you now must take the Fundamentals series in the order listed above.

I've taken the Fundamentals courses before. Do I need to take them again?
No. While there are some changes and some new material, the core concepts remain the same. However, you can always take the Fundamentals series again if you want to refresh your fundamental Luminate Online knowledge.

Do I need to retake the 2018 Luminate Online Fundamentals Exam to ensure my certification?
Your 2018 Luminate Online Fundamentals Certification is still valid. You do not need to retake the exam if you have already earned a passing score.
