Are you in the game?

March Madness has arrived, and for the basketball fans among us, I hope you’ve settled on your picks! I’m always eager to follow the tournament – what I like most is how “in it” the teams are, and watching how hard work, a great game plan and a stroke of good luck can lead to a winning outcome for a team. That’s how I feel about our business – we’re definitely in it, and I hope that you are too, in the sense that you’re engaged with us and helping to shape our game plan.

We’re investing big to support our corporate clients.

In my last update, I shared that MicroEdge had its best year in history in terms of growth, client retention and satisfaction. One area that stood out was the corporate sector. In particular, our AngelPoints employee engagement platform experienced a phenomenal 72% increase. We’re excited to see such remarkable progress, as it sets the stage for how we’re moving forward in 2015 and beyond.  A significant investment has been made to fuel our strategy for the corporate market, which gives us the opportunity to explore and deliver on an array of great opportunities to enhance and advance our corporate solutions to meet your needs.

We’ve heard from 400 Community Foundation clients on their top priorities.

In our journey to build a “best of both worlds” combined solution for our FIMS and Financial Edge clients in the community foundation sector, we conducted some initial client outreach to get your candid feedback. We heard from an impressive 400 individuals, collectively, across the MicroEdge and Blackbaud community foundation client base. Thematically, two key priorities emerged, Relationships and Back Office Efficiency. What’s most important? Having the best tools to manage your relationships, including detailed information about individuals, organizations and funds, and interrelationships between them.  Efficient, and easy to use financial and fund administration, particularly as it relates to allocation of investment fees and earnings. Strong gift and grant management capabilities. And across everything, powerful but simple relational reporting that enables you to readily see the big picture and quickly drill down into the detail.  In the shorter term, a desire for improved operation and integration across key products was top of mind, and we are working on a plan to offer integration between FIMS and Blackbaud products and services, such as Raiser’s Edge NXT.

How can we help you #RevUpYourGiving?

We were at the #GMN2015 conference this week in National Harbor, MD, engaging with attendees to ask this important question. We’re pleased to increase our support for this valuable industry event as the official Technology Sponsor, and we’re interested in hearing your latest ideas about how we can help you leverage technology to increase the impact of your giving – let us know!

Best,
Kris
