Important Information for Updating to Raiser's Edge 7.95 When Using EE-RE Integration

The Raiser’s Edge 7.95 is and Education Edge/Blackbaud Student Information System 7.87, patch 10 are now available for download on Blackbaud.com.
If your Raiser’s Edge database is integrated with Education Edge, Student Billing, or Blackbaud Student Information System, and your database is not hosted by Blackbaud, we strongly encourage you to review the following information with all parties involved in your update process and EE-RE Integration before updating to RE version 7.95 or EE/FE/BBSIS version 7.87, patch 10.
Note: If your database is hosted by Blackbaud, the following steps are not required.
In order to continue using Integration with EE/FE/BBSIS version 7.87, patch 10, your RE database will need to be updated to version 7.95. RE 7.95 also requires EE version 7.87, patch 9 or higher for Integration. In other words, if you update one database, you must also update the other.
RE 7.95 contains major changes to the database structure for contact information on constituent records. There are a few tasks we recommend completing in order to prepare for the update in regard to Integration, Pivot reports, phone types, custom reports and other features of RE. The RE preparation checklist, along with webinars and other FAQs are located on our 7.95 Release page.
Along with the preparation checklist, we strongly encourage you to review our New Features Guide and resources on our 7.95 release page. We do have bi-weekly webinars scheduled that we recommend users attend to learn about the update and how to prepare. A recording of this webinar is also available here.
The structural changes in RE 7.95 also impact The Education Edge/Student Billing when the databases are integrated. Please note the following:
•EE/FE/BBSIS 7.87, patch 10 requires RE 7.95 for Integration. RE 7.95 requires EE/FE/BBSIS 7.87, patch 9 or higher
• Contact sharing will be removed from the EE/FE/BBSIS database when integrated with RE
• Contacts marked Inactive in RE during the update to 7.95 will be removed from EE during synchronization
