Update 10/4/2017: GIFTS Online Service Intermittently Interrupted

This issue has been resolved and measures have been taken to monitor for and prevent htese issues in the future.

Update, 10/4/2017, 3:45 PM EST:
We are taking continuous measures to alleviate reports of GIFTS Online taking longer than usual to load or to perform some functions. We are investigating wholistic solutions to the problem, but in the meantime we are addressing reports as they come up and as they appear in our monitoring tools. We thank all of our customers who have reported details of issues to our helpdesk, as this has helped us to narrow down the root cause of the problem.

Details of the issue are below. This is occurring intermittently for some customers - if you experience the issue, we recommend closing and reopening the browser, and/or waiting a few minutes and trying again, as it is frequently resolved this way.

Thank you for your continued patience in this matter. We apologize for the interruption in service and are working hard to restore the service to full performance.

10/2/2017: GIFTS Online Service Intermittently Interrupted
Several customers have reported intermittent errors while logging in or accessing features within GIFTS Online today. When the issue occurs, logging in or performing an operation appears to take longer than usual, and may display an error beginning with, "Message: Timeout expired." We are investigating the issue and will take every step to prevent this from continuing.

If you experience the issue, we recommend closing your browser and reopening. Because the issue is intermittent, you may find success trying again a moment later. We will update this post again to indicate that the issue has been resolved.
