Service alert [29 Oct 15]: Online Applications (IGAM) service temporarily unavailable

The service is currently working normally.

At 5:09p our alerting system notified that this service was not responding. We identified the problem and were able to restart. As of 5:28 service has been restored.

[3 Nov update] The problem was traced to an IP address conflict between the primary and backup SQL servers that was causing them both to respond to requests. Normally, they coordinate between each other but when that channel was blocked, they each assumed that the other had failed and tried to take over as primary. We have implemented a change that will prevent this sort of 'false positive' in the future.
