Resolved [29 Jan 16]: Ongoing Reports Of Slow Response Times

The Online Applications – IGAM service is currently functioning normally.

We have identified and resolved the situation that was causing intermittent performance issues and service is now functioning normally. A code fix was introduced yesterday morning and has been monitored carefully through peak usage periods over the past 24 hours. We have seen no recurrence nor received any further reports during that period.

The root cause was related to certain query operations being processed inefficiently by the database server, in turn blocking other activity for a period of time. After isolating this as the source, we were able to modify those particular queries and eliminate the latency effect.
