Blackbaud CRM 4.0 SP11 Feature Preview

Published

Read more about new Blackbaud CRM features being delivered in the last release of 2016, 4.0 Service Pack 11.

Wow - what a year!  We have been busy delivering lots of new features and capabilities to you in Blackbaud CRM.  By the end of the year, we will have released 6 service packs on version 4.0 and delivered 34 new features.  I6 of those were requested directly from you via the Ideas portal with a total of 377 votes.

In our upcoming 4.0 SP11 release targeted for December 30th, several new capabilities and improvements are coming:
  • Track where a meeting is occurring, whether it is at a prospect's home or Starbucks with the addition of location on an interaction or step.  This feature was requested when doing discovery for Fundraiser on the Go. Fundraisers told us they need to know where the meeting was to take place and be able to easily map it.
  • With more and more customers adopting the data warehouse, we have increased our focus on improving the reliability and performance of the ETL.
    • Two problems we worked to resolve:
      • Consistency issues due to data changes from another process while an ETL job is in progress.
      • Locking issues as a result of other business processes
  • The USPS requires that each organization that processes their data through NCOA must submit a Processing Acknowledgment Form (PAF). The USPS will now accept electronic signatures or active acknowledgement via AddressFinder. Prior to this change, organizations had to physically sign a PAF and mail/fax it to the broker (aka. Blackbaud).
The new features guide will be available in the next few weeks.

We hope that you all are ending your year with goals achieved!  As we look forward to 2017, we will be delivering some highly anticipated features including Fundraiser on the Go and Point to Point Encryption (P2Pe)!  Stay tuned for the November 10th Roadmap to learn more.  If you haven't registered for the roadmap session, don't miss out!  For those of you who attended BBCON this will be a repeat session.
