Just Launched – Major Updates To AngelPoints Giving

With our recent launch of AngelPoints 2016.2 we made significant updates to the AngelPoints Giving solution that we are eager to share with you!

Speedier Organization Searching
One improvement your employees will notice right away is the enhanced organization search engine within Giving. Search speed has increased significantly, and employees can now search by keyword or tax-id. The most relevant organizations show at the top of the results list to allow employees to more easily find and donate to the charities of their choosing!


Support for Canadian Giving
To empower our clients that operate giving programs in Canada, AngelPoints can now be configured to allow your employees to log offline donations (e.g. cash, check, or stock) and request matches to Canadian charities.

As part of our update to charities within AngelPoints, Canadian charities will include the Canadian Revenue Agency organization category. Canadian Charitable Categories include: Welfare, Health, Education, Religion – Churches and Other Places of Worship, Benefits to the Community & Other.


For organizations that were already in your organizational database the category will be migrated from the US NTEE focus area to the CRA category (see Release Documentation for details).  

As an extension of our support for Canadian giving programs we have modified the My Donations tab in ‘My Giving’ to allow for tracking across currencies. If a user has given in multiple currencies (USD and CAD) it will total the summary by each currency.

Reminder: The AngelPoints Mobile Volunteering App is Available Now!
VolunteerMe, the AngelPoints mobile volunteering app, is available for iOS and Android. We know that one of the most effective ways to reach your employees and get them actively engaged and participating in your programs is to meet them where they are which in many cases, is with a mobile device close at hand!


Our new AngelPoints mobile volunteering app includes lots of incredibly easy ways for your employees to get engaged including:
  • Volunteer opportunities as soon as they log in that speak to the causes they care about, the skills they have to share, and their current location;
  • Reminders to log hours for recent volunteer events and the ability to see visual progress toward their goals;
  • Complete pre and post-event surveys;
  • The ability to search for new volunteer opportunities, including external, independent volunteer activities if you have them enabled; and
  • The option to easily update basic profile information, including the causes a user wishes to support.

Please note, your AngelPoints system was successfully updated to AngelPoints 2016.2 on Saturday, July 9, 2016. No additional action is required to receive the update.
