Jump For Joy – GIFTS Online Training Just Got Better!

What’s happening with our training?Happy spring everyone! As part of my spring cleaning, I started the largest closet clean-out I’ve ever attempted. For this process, I’m only keeping items that spark joy.
We’re using a similar philosophy with GIFTS Online training—focusing on sparking joy by moving our training to the award winning Blackbaud University. We’re making a commitment to increase the consistency of our offerings and improve the training experience for our users.
What have we done so far?
I have donated and recycled more than 125 pieces of clothing and still need to tackle my shoes, accessories, and outerwear. GIFTS Online training is in a similar state!
This April, we’ll premiere a brand new set of GIFTS Online: Fundamentals courses. These courses have been standardized to a three-hour length and overhauled to make them more interactive, engaging, hands-on, and joyful!
What can you look forward to?
Like cleaning out my closet, the changes to our training program will take some time to complete.
This spring, look for updated versions of our administration and online application classes. Throughout 2017, Blackbaud University will release new grantmaking and corporate responsibility courses and Nonprofit Workshop sessions. These courses are the first steps in the larger effort to incorporate MicroEdge Blackbaud training into the Blackbaud University offerings.

Who am I?
My name is Veronica Sheppard. Some of you may know me from my previous position with MicroEdge as a GIFTS Online Implementation Consultant. I also helped teach many of our previous group trainings and have attended the MESC/bbcon events in recent years. This January, I started as the GIFTS Online Curriculum Lead with Blackbaud University. My job includes creating content for our courses, working with our amazing trainers, and making sure your Blackbaud University experience brings you joy!
