Holly's Helpful Hints: How To Live In The Spotlight

Published
Working in the nonprofit world can sometimes be a thankless job ( click here for more on this). Your Blackbaud Community team wants to make sure all of your hard work doesn't go uncelebrated. We love shining a spotlight on the outstanding work our community members do.

Here are some helpful hints on how to keep that spotlight bright:

1. Check out our Member Spotlight page.
If you haven't already, I'd encourage you to check out our member spotlight page. You can find member spotlights under the members menu at the top of the community:

Spend some time reading all of these outstanding spotlights and then connect with these community rockstars by sending them a friend request or commenting on their profile walls. You can also subscribe to this area, so you'll receive a notification when a new member spotlight comes out.

2. Submit your own member spotlight.
If you'd like us to spotlight you, you can complete our spotlight form, and submit it and 2-3 pictures of you and 2-3 pictures of your mission in action to the community team. We'll queue up all of our outstanding spotlights and feature you in the community!

3. Find people to build your network circle.
Peruse the member spotlights and when you find someone who you have something in common with, comment on this blog post with their name and your commonality.

4. Bask in your awesome.
Thank you for all the outstanding work you do!

Brinkley Cox and I seem have quite a bit in common we both:  use Target Analytics, enjoy our dogs and niece(s), are proud of our BB certifications (though different products),  believe in organic stress management (Brinkley uses and shares yoga and I practice and share Reiki), and we both like supporting others as part of our careers.

Nancy Marshall's Member Spotlight caught my eye.  Her initials are the same as mine - NM, and she and I both have red hair!
Holly, the request to look through the member spotlights is a great idea! Jackie Zimmerman and I have much in common. As professionals, we both work for religious organizations with similar missions but personally we both enjoy anything outdoors. If I have a moment of time, you will find me outside enjoying nature and all its offerings! Glad to meet you, Jackie!

Patti Hommes and I both graduated from Butler University in Indianapolis!  Although I didn't discover that from her profile.

Amy Dana and I have both worked in corner offices...although for me it was 5 & 7 years ago, and for less than a year in either case.  I did love saying I had a corner office, though!  (Now I have a home office.  Which is the best location yet!)
Holly, thank you for all you do as well!
Hey, Kaitlin LeRoy has a degree in theater and so do I - and it looks like neither of us are currently working in the theater industry.
