Hello Community!c51ff123df8add4cadd218996c510b1f-huge-ch

As summer settles in so does the realization that we’re halfway through 2017. On this side of the screen, we’ve welcomed a new community manager, worked through several new concepts, and are ready to achieve our goals.

This is may be a good time for you to ask “Am I on the way to achieving my 2017 goals so far?” Life can get in the way and before you know it December 31 has arrived. Take a moment to review your goals and make tweaks so you can turn them into achievements.

In the meantime, let me share what’s happening in the Community:

Welcome to a new career, Allen! Nothing like shaking everything up to keep things fresh, eh? Congrats on completing your first class for your doctorate! That's great to hear - I find education as a way to push myself forward and wish you the best of luck. Nothing will feel better than completing your doctorate degree. And also the fancy hats that go with it :)
Marilyn - I love it! Visuallly seeing goals/tasks are the way I keep up with my own goals. It's also satisying balling up that post it note or marking off a task on a list. It sounds like you have a lot going on and I wish you the best of luck but if you're in the Blackbaud Community, you're up for the challenge. Make sure to rely on us and the community to help with your goals - we're all here to help!
Professionally, I joined the Development Department at my Agency, which signifies a career change for me. For the last 15 years I have worked in social services (11.5 with a county and 3.5 with my Agency). Personally, I began studies toward my Doctorate which is something I've wanted to do for many years. I finished my first class last week!
Reading your note is motivating me to put my goals down on paper so that I may visually see them and check them off as I get to them.
New to my position and almost a year in from a Grand Opening of 3 new gardens and welcoming a new Development Director (hence been flying without one for almost a year)  There are alot of things whirling around in my head.  I would love to read about other folks goals and thier strategy for achieving them!  Thanks, M Knowlton, Bok Tower Gardens, Lake Wales, FL
