Hi Community!

I know it’s been awhile since you’ve heard from me but your community managers have been dealing with one of our favorite things – change.

776134afa2c87e7e2f2c947e9134edb0-huge-chChange can be scary – it brings uncertainty and doubt. You may even get to hear one of my most dreaded phrases: “But we’ve always done it this way.” Don’t get me wrong, I’m right there with everyone when it comes to change. I may even think that phrase that-shall-not-be-named as I try to adapt.

It’s difficult to realize that change is not always bad. It can bring new perspective and energy to what you’re doing. It can help expand your skill set and push you in new ways. It will be scary but as I was told today: “If it doesn’t scare you a bit, it’s not the right fit for you.” Embrace it and always remember you have a community full of people who are here to help.

Now onto the Community!

Clarify for me: our NXT instance is being backed up by Blackbaud just like our hosted database view, right? Your sentance "Ready to do a database backup in Raiser’s Edge NXT?" has me nervous......    :)
I was laid off from a job I loved. It lead me to the job I have now which I love so much more! Plus I get this huge community to be a part of!
For me, leaving my tv news career after 15 years to join Blackbaud - was a change for the better! I never thought I'd be able to do anything outside of what I'd been doing for so long, so it was a leap of faith for me. I think a lot of people in the NP world have taken leaps of faith! I'm looking forward to reading more about their experiences.
