Notice: Internal Messaging in Community

Published
The internal messaging system in Community is temporarily disabled.

On Wednesday, June 6th, we identified a spammer within Community sending unsolicited private messages to several members. We are proud to offer you an open, free sign up Community to collaborate and we want to make sure the issue is contained and remediated swiftly.

Private messages between Community members will be disabled temporarily. As a result, you may see some private messages from Community that are blank. We hope to have this important feature turned back on as soon as possible.

In the meantime, feel free to communicate with each other via profile wall postings, product forums, and in Best Practices.

You can always reach out to community@blackbaud.com for further support.

Thank you and we appreciate your patience!

Blackbaud Senior Community Manager

Private messaging back on!
We hope to have private messaging turned back on by tomorrow! Thank you for your patience and we will update you as soon as the feature is restored.
Hey Shawn - Use the reporting button on any content or accounts that seems suspicious. The Community Managers will review and confirm. That's how we knew there was an issue yesterday!
Thank you. for letting all know. I saw it and it looked not right. I did not open the link as I had never seen any private messages like that before. With having it looking too vague I knew it could not be good. Thanks for confirming this.

I received a message with a link. Didn't open it.

Thanks Crystal! Is the best way to report these incidents in the future by using the Report-flag button or notifying anyone directly?
Hi all, the spammer created multiple accounts, but we were able to find them all and ban/delete them. We should have messaging up and running soon! Thank you!

I received an email yesterday!
Or share the name so we know who to be on the lookout for? Thanks for the heads up and for keeping our community safer.
Best,
Elizabeth
Why not just block that user, Crystal?
