Scheduled Community Maintenance: August 20, 2018

Hi Community!

Instead of your typical Community Happenings post this week, I have official Community news to share with you today.

On Monday, August 20, 2018, from 8:30-9:30 AM EST, the Blackbaud Community will undergo scheduled maintenance. Your Blackbaud teams will be working to update the sign-on process for an improved security and member experience.

What does this mean for you?
  • You won’t be able to access the Community from 8:30-9:30 AM EST on August 20. You will be greeted by our maintenance page if you navigate to the Community. 
  • Post maintenance, you’ll continue to sign on to Community with your credentials as normal.
  • Post maintenance, if you’re inactive for more than 15 minutes, you’ll be signed out of Community.
    • If you are logged out, just click login at the top of any page on the right hand side.
If you have any questions, please leave it in the comments below or you can email and one of your community managers will answer your questions.

Those will probably fire off before the maintenance window is up so if you see it before 8:30, you're good to peruse. If it's after, just make a note to check in around 9:30. Just drink that coffee before it gets cold :)

Just a heads up. Remember that a number of your schools are back in session and those of us in the Central Time Zone will be impacted with teachers taking attendance, parents filling out back to school forms, etc.  We definitely can work around it and appreciate improved security but just a reminder when you're doing maintenance during the school day.

Hey Joanne! This is just for the Community. All of your products, etc., will continue to function as normal. Only will be unavailable during this hour. We did take into consideration traffic and active users on the Community during this time so we found a a less active time. I'll keep your feedback in mind for next maintenance window!

Not digging this have to log back in thing - mainly because it doesn't log you back into where you left off so I have to find the string or whatever I was looking at last. Or is there some fancy back button I don't know about?!

Hey Joanne! Thanks for bringing this up. There's a vendor ticket to fix this so when you are logged out, you are routed back to the page you were on when you log back in. Keep an eye out - we'll let everyone know when that's fixed. Sorry for the inconvenience!
