Hello From Your New Community Managers!

Hey Community,

Elizabeth here from the Community Management Team. This week, I'm jumping in to introduce Ray and myself. We are looking forward to learning more about you, your organizations, and how we can best support you in the community.

Learn more about us below:

Elizabeth Perron

I have a background in Corporate Learning and Development. I enjoy watching anything grow in a healthy way; people, plants, organizations etc. I am part of an active family of four. I play the Mom role but at least twice a day the kid in me comes out and you can find me dancing, playing a prank or just lying on the couch looking at the ceiling day dreaming!

I would love to get to know more about you! Please stop by my profile and say 'hi'!

Ray Bergman

Hey Community! My name is Ray Bergman and I’m one of the new community managers here at Blackbaud. I have a passion for the outdoors, spending time with my wife and 5 kids, and I’m super persnickety when it comes to my own grammar. I’ll be doing my best to meet and interact with each and every one of you, so if I haven’t already – please drop me a line and introduce yourselves.  To me, there’s just something special about a community that can reach out and converse with each other like we’re in the next room over.  My goal is to help bring us all together and feel like one big family.

We are excited to get started working with such an amazing Community and salute the great work you are doing! Please don't hesitate to reach out to us at any time!

Your New Community Managers,
Elizabeth & Ray

Welcome to you both, Elizabeth and Ray. I get into Community occasionally and post even less, as I'm way too busy trying to wrap my head around my DBM role, but I appreciate your introduction.

How often do you get to see "persnickety"  in writing?  A real treat as it's a great word.

Look forward to seeing you both in the forums!

Yes pernickety is a great word . . . not sure why you folk over the pond put an 's' in it - it has lived happily without one for the last few hundred years

Oh my goodness Stuart Cowie‍! I never realized that there was a spelling difference. Now that I have fallen down the etymological rabbit hole on that one, I have serious questions.

Thanks for mentioning that Stuart Cowie‍!  I've only ever heard it with an "s", and now I too have questions lol.

Grammar Police is another name for my persnickety ways.

Welcome, Elizabeth and Ray!  I look forward to working with you.
Like Darlene Wolfe, I get into Community occasionally and rarely post.  Way to busy in the grants management world! so many questions, so little time ...
